MT FORTNIGHT WEEK
The Mother Tongue fortnight programmes will be conducted over two weeks for all levels in semester one. The objective is to create a platform for all Lasallians to learn about their culture and traditions through various activities. Chinese painting, CNY singing competition, lion dance competition and mandarin orange making are some of activities planned for them. Batik colouring and yellow packet making allow students to learn about the essence of the Malay and Tamil culture and tradition. These activities allowed Lasallians to have fun as well as to appreciate their culture.

Internationalization Immersion
The objective is to develop Lasallians’ global outlook and cultural awareness through immersion in foreign school and to appreciate the rich cultures and heritage beyond the confines of the classroom. Through immersion in a different environment where the languages are taught, Lasallians are able to apply and enhance their command in the Mother Tongue Languages


External Competition Participation
Storytelling, writing, bilingual translation, Singapore- Malaysia Bilingual Olympiad, Online ICT competition etc.
Cultural Performance Exposure Scheme (CPES)
To create awareness and introduce to students the cultural aspects and background through authentic learning experience. Students will be more appreciative and be more aware of their own culture and the authentic learning experience allows them to be more exposed to the culture in a more fun and exciting manner.
P3 MoTher tongue CULTURAL CAMP

MORNING READING PROGRAM
Lasallians will engage in reading their Mother Tongue Language books on Thursdays and Fridays. This is to create the love for reading in their own language as well as to emphasise on the importance of reading.
PRIMARY 5 OVERSEAS IMMERSION PROGRAMME
Every year the P5 Malay and Tamil Lasallians will embark on an Overseas Immersion Trip.The objective of this trip is to create awareness of the different cultures and practices to our Lasallians and to be immersed with students of the designated country. This trip will also allow Lasallians to be independent and be more appreciative and be more rooted to Singapore.
HARI RAYA FOOD TASTING
To allow students to be involved and participate actively towards understanding and learn about the festival as well as creating a platform for students to have a taste of what the festival is all about.
P5 & P6 PARENTS WORKSHOP
To familiarise, encourage and create awareness to parents towards the demand and expectations required for skills for 2017 New PSLE exam format. Parents will also be shared on the various strategies use by teachers in the classroom so as to allow them to monitor and give feedback to their childrens comprehension/oral skills at home.
PRIMARY 5 AND PRIMARY 6 CREATIVE WRITING WORKSHOP
To enhance and enrich students writing and creativity as well as expose students to the various methods of good creative writing skills outside the classroom context. Students will enrich and enhance the development of ideas as well as their writing competency in strengthening what they have learnt in the workshop to be applied in the classroom so that they will be a skilled, creative and thinking writers.
